The Italian recipe of the week: “Ossa di morto”

-->

The name may sound strange, but in November, the month dedicates to death people, the regional cuisine also dedicates his cakes to them. This recipe comes from Sicily, but we have similar recipes in every italian region.

Ingredients:

300 gr. flour
600 gr. sugar
300 gr. hazelnut
12    egg whites
1      lemon

Mix flour, sugar and minced hazelnut, then join the beated white eggs with the grated lemon peel. Roll out the dough and make many little squares. Put them into an oily baking-pan and into the oven (180 degrees) until the end of backing.

Buon appetito!
